Domestic Abuse Intervention Service
Have you ever felt or said the following?
“When I get angry I lose control of myself”
“When I have had a few drinks things get out of hand”
“She/he winds me up”
We can help you understand your angry thoughts and feelings.
Domestic violence is a crime. Everyone experiences difficulties in life and in their relationships, this never justifies the use of violence or abuse.
If domestic abuse is part of your relationship and you want to talk to someone about changing your behaviour the domestic abuse counselling service is here to help you.
We are dedicated to reducing intimate partner abuse/violence in our community by offering two separate programs of individual support to men and women who are being abusive or violent.
Our aim is to increase the safety of those who are suffering from the impact of domestic abuse and to help the abuser to stop being violent and abusive.
You will be treated with respect
WE JUDGE THE ACT, NOT THE PERSON
Our counsellors are fully trained specialist counsellors in all issues of domestic abuse and will listen to you with respect and without judgement helping you towards changes that are right for you.
Our Counsellors are trained to respond if have other related issues such as drugs or alcohol. We can refer you with our supported assistance to other helping agencies.
